What a weekend!

I had a wonderful weekend.  However I am a bad blogger.  I took only 1 picture.  Have I uploaded it so that others may enjoy...nope.  Bad blogger.

Friday - Shannon the dancer from Boston arrives in her Mini with the Princess.  These two had an 8 hour drive from Boston because of the horrible traffic.  Shannon has requested a cute nickname...We'll get right on that, won't we internets?

Saturday - Ottawa.  Yarn Forward in Kanata.  Shannon buys yarn and needles and a sock pattern.  Wooo Hoooo I have spread the illness.  We hike around Parliment and eat sushi.  Then it is time for overload in IKEA.  Shannon remembers how to cast-on and starts a sock.  I am also approached to knit something for the Jody Weber Dance Company's Fundraiser.  How cool is that?

Sunday - Lake Placid.  Beautiful drive.  Shannon completes her ribbing and is now knitting the leg.  We have a wonderful picnic in the park...mmmm pate, mmmmm.  I then march everyone (including the Princess) across town and up a HUGE hill in order to make it to a yarn shop.  There I discover that the Harlot will be appearing on September 26th.  Is it stalking to go to a book signing if you have already had your bookbookbook signed?  Maybe I'll take the new book and this time I won't have to drive 6 hours.  Now lets hope the new book arrives in time....Yarn is purchased (including a few Fleece Artist items) and off we go.  I take Shannon to the Lake Placid Brewery.  I am ashamed.  The Salem Beerworks was soooo much better.

Monday - Shannon departs for Boston.  I veg in front of the TV and work on my sleeve for Sitcom Chic.

No handknitted socks were harmed in this picture.  Just some really awful acrylic blends.

Sounds like a fun weekend. Knitting and shopping! Not much better. Lucky you, getting to see the Harlot again. She doesn't come to my neck of the woods.
